There are many uses for any skill...the important thing would be to learn what you are doing. That is, you need to get control over it so you don't do it accidentally. And then when you do use it, you should make the conscious decision to do so. Right or wrong, that will be up to you to decide, and the consequences will be yours to deal with. That's how it is with all things.
